A tragic incident unfolded on the roads of Fremont on Wednesday, resulting in the loss of life of a motorcyclist. At about 5:55 p.m., emergency responders were called to a major injury collision on the 43000 block of Osgood Road, involving a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle, Fremont Police Department reported.

The scene of the accident painted a grim picture as Fremont PD officers tried desperately to save the injured individual. Based on the early findings shared by Fremont PD, the motorcyclist was riding southbound when they collided with the front end of the car that was making a left turn. Despite the efforts of the Fremont Fire Department, who quickly took over medical care, the motorcyclist's injuries proved fatal.
The investigation into what led up to this fatal event is ongoing and conducted by the Fremont Police Department Traffic Investigations Unit. So far, authorities have indicated that neither drug nor alcohol impairment seems to play a role in this unfortunate event. The driver in the passenger vehicle remained on-site and is said to have fully cooperated with the police investigation.
This incident marks Fremont's sixth fatal traffic collision this year.
