
Early yesterday morning, in the span of a mere 40 minutes, a series of audacious armed robberies took place in Chicago's 15th district. According to the Chicago Police Department's official release, four male juveniles were arrested and charged with two felony counts each of Robbery - Armed with a Firearm.
The alleged incidents occurred close to one another, first at around 6:03 a.m. on the 800 block of N. Laramie Ave., and then half an hour later, on the 600 block of N. Leclaire Ave, as reported by the CPD. The suspects, armed and perceived as threatening, stripped a 25-year-old man and, a 30-year-old man of their possessions at gunpoint. Even the youngest among these accused, a 13-year-old child, has been implicated in these alarming crimes, pointing to a troubling undercurrent of juvenile involvement in violent acts within the community.
The offenders were swiftly located and apprehended at around 6:33 a.m. in the 5200 block of W. North Ave. "No additional information is available at this time," as per the Chicago Police Department.
