According to the Fremont Police Department, the arrest occurred yesterday due to the investigation by the Crimes Against Persons Investigative Unit.

Reports by juvenile victims initiated the investigation, detailing incidents that took place in Fremont and Livermore, with Duran allegedly committing the assaults in various locations. Duran now faces charges including Penal Code 647.6, Penal Code 287(B)(1), Penal Code 287(I), Penal Code 288.3, and Penal Code 289(D).
The teaching assistant is lodged in Santa Rita Jail currently.
