The community of Giles County, Tennessee, is on alert after the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) issued a Silver Alert for an 82-year-old woman reported missing. The elderly woman, identified as Caulyne Cross, was described as standing 5'1" tall and weighing approximately 110 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. WSMV reported that Cross was last seen wearing red pants and a pink shirt.
According to the TBI, Cross has a medical condition that may impair her ability to safely return home without assistance. The exact nature of the condition has not been made public, but the urgency of finding her is underscored by this additional health concern. WKRN shared that she was last seen yesterday, but her intended direction of travel was unknown.
Giles County Emergency Services posted an update on social media suggesting that Cross might be found walking in the vicinity of Powell Chapel Road and Beech Hill Road. This information, distributed via the department's Facebook page just before 8:15 p.m., provides a potential area for locals to focus their attention. Officials are eager to receive any details from the public that could lead to her safe recovery.
Residents in and around Giles County are encouraged to stay vigilant and to report any sightings or information to the Giles County Sheriff's Department or the TBI. Calls should be directed to 931-363-0911 for the Sheriff's Department, or to the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND, as per FOX17.
