In a move to streamline the checkout process, shoppers can now use Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and tap-to-pay credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express at the register. San Antonio residents have been anticipating such advancements from the Texas-based grocery chain, which had been, notably slow to adopt Apple Pay, much like Walmart. Now, after about a week of operation as told to MySA by employees, the response appears to be catering to a more tech-savvy clientele eager for expedited transactions. H-E-B initially trialed the service at their Dallas Central Market location in late July, before committing to a state-wide roll-out.
