Just after 10:45 a.m. today, IMPD shared via a social media update that they responded to the scene of the shooting. Situated near the intersection of Post Road and East 56th Street, WISH-TV notes that this announcement came following the nocturnal altercation. Further confirming that no officers were harmed, the investigation by the Lawrence Police Department has IMPD taking the lead, with public information remaining minimal as of their last report.
