Kids in Kingsport can now enjoy new playground equipment at Riverview Park and Riverfront Park. This upgrade promises the parks ready for adventurers ready to play and explore.
It was last month when Riverview Park and Riverfront Park were temporarily closed for upgrades. The unveiling features a Track Rider, a Vista Arc Sphere, and even X-pod steps at Riverview Park, new seesaw, and swings at Riverfront Park, and a dual-generation swing for adults and kids to enjoy together.
The new features at Riverview Park were funded by an $80,000 grant from the State of Tennessee. "We're thrilled to provide these new, state-of-the-art playground features to the community, especially the Vista Arc Sphere, which is something brand new to Kingsport," stated Parks and Recreation Manager Kitty Frazier, according to the City of Kingsport's announcement.
Also, the Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department offers a cornucopia of programs, activities, and classes. Check their website or call 423-229-9460 for more details.
