Tragedy unfolded on the intersection of Lantana Road and Congress Avenue late Wednesday night, when a six-car pile-up claimed the life of a local man and left several others injured. WPTV reports that Raekwon Johnson, after allegedly running a red light while fleeing southbound on Congress Ave from a traffic stop by Atlantis Police, collided with Sacha Rukin’s vehicle, which was traveling eastbound on Lantana Rd.
The collision initiated a dire series of events as Rukin's vehicle struck a third car, causing a chain-reaction that involved three additional vehicles. According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office report, "Rukin's car was redirected southbound, rotated and struck a third car."
