For one family, the storms meant not just a rough night but a significant loss. The Wickersham family's residence, what was once they envisioned as their dream home upon moving in at the onset of the pandemic, now lay partially in ruins. According to KUTV, the homeowner detailed the interior havoc, "A branch went through both floors, so the downstairs got it as well." The description included a smoke alarm triggered by dust, a chimney shoot displaced to the living room floor, and ceiling pieces scattered about.
The storm's ferocity did not spare the broader community, with several homes sustaining damage akin to that inflicted upon the Wickershams. While there were no injuries reported, the ordeal left a clear imprint of nature's unpredictable might. Recovery efforts, including clearing debris and addressing minor flooding, were underway at a local events center, where worker and owner Armstrong took stock of the situation. Echoing a sentiment of relief mingled with apprehension for upcoming weather, Armstrong said as per KSL TV, "I hope, you know, we keep getting these little storms. (But) I hope we’re going to slow down on that. And I’m just glad. I hope that people were safe in the houses that might have got hit".
