The Alameda County Narcotics Task Force has pulled off a sizeable drug bust in San Jose, seizing a variety of narcotics and apprehending a convicted felon believed to be a significant player in the meth trade across Alameda County. According to the announcement shared on Facebook, this resulted from an extensive investigation targeting the suspect's illicit activities.

The raid occurred on Tuesday at a residence on Rockaway Drive, where law enforcement agents were able quickly to locate and secure over 40 pounds of methamphetamine, various other drugs, a firearm, and a substantial amount of cash. Among the substances found were 150.2 grams of blue "M30" fentanyl pills, 192.9 grams of cocaine, 129.3 grams of oxycodone, and a small quantity of MDMA. Also retrieved from the scene was a Glock 30 .45 auto handgun.

Officials informed the public that the overall weight of the meth seized tallied up to approximately 18,199.3 grams. The presence of fentanyl within the confiscated pills poses an additional public health concern due to the opioid's high potency and the risk of overdose.

The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed by law enforcement, was taken into custody and is now facing charges of narcotics trafficking. The individual has been booked into the Santa Clara County Jail, awaiting further legal proceedings.
