
A man was hospitalized following a shooting that occurred yesterday afternoon at the Rocket Fuel gas station in Davie, as confirmed by local authorities. Police reported to the scene at the gas station located at 4221 NW 66 Ave., near the intersection of Stirling Road and North 66th Avenue, after the incident took place just after 2 p.m. According to Local 10, a gas station attendant witnessed the man getting shot in the back of the leg while he was refueling his neon Lamborghini.
The man was promptly transported to a local hospital with injuries that were determined to be non-life-threatening. As of now, the identity and age of the victim have not been shared by the police, nor have they disclosed any potential persons, or persons of interest. "I was just sitting in my car over here in the shade, and I just heard a pop, and it was a big box van in front of me," a witness described the events in a statement obtained by NBC6. The witness added, "And as soon as it passed away, I seen the guy behind his Lamborghini, sitting on the floor behind the pump, holding his leg."
Footage from the scene obtained by Local 10 revealed a bullet hole in one of the gas pumps, suggesting the violence that unfolded. Davie Police have begun an investigation but have yet to release substantial details about the motive or context for the attack. Rescue crews had responded swiftly, ensuring the victim received the necessary medical attention. Despite the initial chaos, police are now rigorously searching for the assailant who is still at large, as reported by WSVN.
