
Early this morning, a man was shot at a gas station in Miami Gardens, prompting a significant police presence and investigation into the incident. The shooting occurred in the 200 block of NW 195th Street around 4:21 a.m., with Miami Gardens police discovering the victim at the U Shop gas station, as NBC Miami reports.
After the shooting, the victim was airlifted to a nearby hospital, however, details regarding the severity of the injuries have not been disclosed. A white sedan vehicle was seen fleeing the scene following the event, police said. The area around the gas station was cordoned off as law enforcement officials combed through, looking for evidence, and working to piece together the moments that led to the gunfire.
At the scene, indicators of the emergency response were clearly visible, with blood found near the cash register inside the gas station's convenience store, according to 7News. Outside, strewn amidst the chaos, were a pair of red shoes and medical equipment, a testament to the urgency of the medical personnel's response.
To date, no arrests have been made, and the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain murky. Police have provided little information on potential suspects beyond the quick getaway in a white sedan, as the investigation continues to unfold.
