
A violent incident unfolded Thursday night in the Loop, leaving a 46-year-old man wounded from a stab in the back. Around 9:30 p.m., at the first block of North Dearborn Street, an altercation escalated between the man and two assailants, one of whom plunged a knife into his back while the other seized his dropped possessions, Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Trying to flee, both suspects disappeared into the Chicago night, the man's belongings in their possession. Chicago Police are currently searching for the duo responsible for the robbery and stabbing, as no arrests have yet been made. The victim, whose condition was stabilized, was rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and is reportedly in fair condition, according to FOX 32 Chicago.
Investigators from Area Three are examining the circumstances of the incident. As stated by FOX 32 Chicago, "No one is in custody."
