The Morgan County community is confronting a somber reality after a local man, previously reported missing, was found dead near Martinsville yesterday evening. The Morgan County Coroner's Office released a statement confirming that a deceased male had been discovered, and he is believed to be William Lindermann, though they are working to definitively confirm his identity.
Earlier reports from the Morgan County Sheriff's Office, which have since been removed from Facebook, indicated that Lindermann was last observed out around the State Road 44 and Hess Road area, during the early hours of Saturday, sometime between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Clearly hit hard by the news, the community had been searching for Lindermann, even organizing search parties in hopes of locating him safe and sound, as reported by WRTV.
Upon discovery of the body, individuals who believe they might have information pertinent to Lindermann's disappearance were previously urged to contact Morgan County Dispatch at 765-342-5544. Lindermann was last seen potentially wearing a gray shirt and shorts, and it was believed he had been on foot when he vanished, according to details provided by the Morgan County Sheriff's Office.
This collective heartache encompassing the Morgan County community recalls the vulnerability that we all share in the face of the inexplicable turns of life, as reflected by the information found in a statement provided by CBS4Indy.
