The Miami-Dade Police Department is on a mission to curb impaired driving with an enforcement operation slated for tomorrow night. According to a release from the department, the Motorcycle Unit of the Special Patrol Bureau will helm specialized enforcement operations in several Miami-Dade County areas.
Set to take place from 8:00 p.m. tomorrow to 4:00 a.m. the following morning, the initiative is an effort to ensure road safety and reduce the incidence of accidents related to impaired driving. Motorists maneuvering through U.S. 1 between SW 104 Street and SW 211 Street, especially those will be put on notice, as the law enforcement presence will be hard to miss the operation will be in full swing.
Furthermore, patrols will be monitoring activity along 40 Street, between SW 57 Avenue and 107 Avenue, and 88 Street from SW 107 Avenue to 157 Avenue. The department, while emphasizing that this is not a DUI checkpoint, asserts the importance of this operation in keeping the roads safe for all users.
