
Heading into the Labor Day weekend, Miami-Dade Transit has announced modified schedules for its transportation services on Monday, September 2, 2024, with Metrorail and Metromover following a weekend schedule and Metrobus running on a Sunday timetable, which includes MetroLink and MetroConnect routes; travelers can verify schedules and get real-time updates using the Transit App or other planning applications.
County offices will take a day off for the holiday, and this includes the Department of Transportation and Public Works’ administrative branches, the Customer Service, and the Special Transportation (STS) offices, however, those needing STS can still contact their reservation line at 305-871-1111 for making or canceling a ride, according to Miami-Dade County's announcement.
For tech-savvy commuters looking to manage their transit needs without heading to a physical location, the way forward is clear—EASY Cards can be purchased or recharged online via the Transit Store or the Go-Miami Dade and Token Transit apps; additionally, contactless payment methods are accepted for fare payment.
Additional online conveniences extend to new applications for the Golden Passport EASY Card, accessible through DTPW’s Golden Passport portal, and the lost and found can be used to report misplaced items, these services are part of DTPW’s efforts to modernize and streamline access to transit resources.
