
In the early hours of a Memphis morning, a police squad car found itself at the receiving end of an unplanned collision. According to Action News 5, the Memphis Police Department (MPD) was already responding to a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 40 East, near Sycamore View Road around 3:45 a.m., Saturday, when an additional incident occurred.
While officers were addressing the initial incident, a subsequent crash saw an unoccupied squad car being struck by a passing vehicle. FOX13 Memphis reported that amidst the flurry of flashing lights and scattered debris, fortunately, no injuries were sustained in either collision.
As per Local Memphis, the scenario is an ongoing inquiry, delving into the causes and, potential preventatives of such incidents. MPD has yet to release further details, ensuring that the investigation remains ongoing.
