Shavano Park was shaken by a tragic incident Wednesday morning as authorities responded to a report of gunshots. According to KENS5, officials confirmed a murder-suicide in a home on the 100 block of Cinnamon Oak. Local police found two deceased adults, later identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner as 61-year-old Jerry Hernandez and 52-year-old Sonia Patricia Hernandez.
Responding before 8 a.m. to the disturbance, the officers discovered the bodies shortly after arriving at the scene. While investigating the incident, Shavano Park city manager Bill Hill stated there are no other suspects being sought after in connection with this case. They are awaiting results from the medical examiner for an official cause of death determination, having been found dead inside the home, as reported by KSAT.
