The court appearance for country singer Morgan Wallen, originally scheduled for this week, has been moved to December 12. Wallen faces charges stemming from an incident in April where he allegedly threw a chair from a rooftop bar belonging to Eric Church, Chief’s, in downtown Nashville. WSMV reports that the chair hurled from six stories high landed a mere three feet from two police officers below.

Following the incident, Wallen expressed regret over the event, stating, "II didn't feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks,” Wallen said in a statement, on April 19. “I’ve touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief’s. I'm not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility," as stated by iHeart's 94.9 The Bull. Despite the legal turmoil, Wallen indicated that his tour schedule would not be affected.

Wallen, who has since opened his bar in the downtown area, was released shortly after his arrest on a $15,250 bond. At his initial court date in May, Wallen was not present, instead represented by his attorney, Worrick Robinson. News Channel 5 notes that this marks the second postponement of Wallen's court proceedings related to charges of reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.
