
Nashville authorities are on the lookout for two individuals linked to an assault at a local Dollar General store earlier this summer. According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department news release, the incident occurred on July 2 on Dickerson Pike when a store employee became a target of physical violence after a transaction dispute.
The initial confrontation began when one of the suspects requested to load $400 onto a gift card, as detailed by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. The store worker, finding the request suspicious, declined to process the transaction which led to the suspect going behind the counter and assaulting the employee. Both suspects, including one who entered the fray later, were recorded on the store’s surveillance system. The first suspect wore shorts and the second, was seen wearing pants, amid the scuffle both landed punches on the employee.
Critical details of the suspects include their departure from the scene in a newer model Nissan SUV, bearing a Texas license plate. The store employee suffered minor injuries from the encounter but did not seek medical treatment at the time, as per the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. Current efforts by the East Precinct detectives include gathering public assistance to identify the individuals involved in the assault.
