As the West Valley's Prasada shopping complex continues to grow, so does its roster of retailers set to open doors in the metro Phoenix area. SimonCRE, a prominent Scottsdale-based developer announced that Nordstrom Inc., the Seattle-based fashion giant will introduce a new 26,000-square-foot Nordstrom Rack to the Prasada North center in Surprise, as ABC15 reported.
Josh Simon, CEO of SimonCRE, highlighted the impact of this development, stating, "Their presence is set to further elevate the West Valley by offering exciting fashion options that cater to the needs of our growing community," according to a statement obtained by ABC15. This expansion marks the first Nordstrom Rack in both Surprise and the farther reaches of West Valley. Presently, Nordstrom operates twelve other locations within Arizona, which collectively provide nearly 1,300 jobs statewide.
Joining Nordstrom Rack at the Prasada North complex will be other familiar names such as Old Navy, securing nearly 13,000 square feet, and DSW, which is slated for a 16,500 square-foot space. Moreover, a new Sierra Trading Post is confirmed to set up shop in Arizona for the first time, elaborating the diversity of retail options at the growing shopping hub, according to the Orion Property Group.
The expanding retail landscape is further enriched by the addition of Sierra Trading Post, specialized in discounted outdoor apparel and gear. An 18,890-square-foot building permit application for the retailer was lodged in July with the city of Surprise, as Orion Property Group confirmed. Excitement buzzes around this new venture with anticipation for its role in broadening the West Valley's retail offerings, and enriching the local economy through job creation and commerce.
As construction moves forward and leasing agreements are locked in, the Prasada North complex is shaping up as a significant hub for shopping and employment in West Valley. With major brands endorsing the complex, residents of Surprise and surrounding areas may soon have a plethora of new shopping destinations by their doorstep.
