Oakland Woman Arrested for DUI in Colma Following Erratic DrivingSource: Colma Police Department

In the early hours last Saturday, Colma Police officers conducted a routine traffic enforcement stop, which led to the arrest of an Oakland woman for driving under the influence of alcohol. The Colma Police Department shared details of the incident on their Facebook page, noting that the stop occurred on July 27, at around 3:01 AM, along El Camino Real.

According to the Facebook post by the Colma Police, their officers were driving behind a blue sedan that exhibited erratic driving behavior: slowing down, then speeding up, and failing to stay within its lane. Jennifer Manriquez, the 26-year-old driver and sole occupant of the sedan, was contacted after her vehicle stopped in the 400 block of Serramonte Boulevard.

Upon interaction with Manriquez, officers reported detecting "the distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from her person" and observed signs suggesting she was under the influence. The Facebook post adds, "Officers contacted the female driver and sole occupant of the vehicle", highlighting their encounter with Manriquez, who was subsequently arrested for DUI.

After her arrest, Manriquez, an Oakland resident, was cited and released, caught under the care of a sobering facility.
