The incident, which took place at approximately 4:30 a.m., prompted a response from both the Miami Police and Miami Fire Rescue. The location of the fatal incident was specifically identified as the intersection of Southwest 27th Avenue and 26th Street, as mentioned by Local 10 News.
The victim, a man whose identity has yet to be disclosed, was pronounced dead at the scene. Officer Kiara Delva of the Miami Police Department confirmed that "a man was struck by a vehicle," although details regarding the circumstances that led to the crash were not immediately available. As explained by Delva, investigation into the matter is still ongoing. A U.S. postal truck was reported to have been spotted near the accident site, based on video footage sent to Local 10 News.
