A spray of gunfire disrupted the relative peace of a Clark County shopping center when witnesses described a chaotic scene involving two vehicles exchanging between 10 and 12 shots before hastily departing the area, according to KPTV. The Clark County Sheriff’s Office relayed these details but has not confirmed the number of shots fired.
Adding to the disorder, an unrelated vehicle—a Range Rover—was caught in the crossfire. KPTV reported an occupant called 911 to report their car had been hit by a stray bullet, which deputies later confirmed by observing a bullet hole in the driver's door of the SUV. The individual in the SUV was leaving an adjacent parking lot when their vehicle was hit, but fortunately, no one was injured.
Initially, witnesses identified a white Chrysler sedan and a dark-colored Volkswagen SUV as the primary parties involved, as detailed by KOIN. The Volkswagen SUV was found by police after a warrant was served overnight, leading to the discovery of a rifle and the arrest of a potential suspect in connection to the shooting. After the incident, hospitals were preemptively informed to be on the lookout for anyone admitted with gunshot wounds. While the investigation remains active, authorities have yet to identify additional suspects or victims.
