
In a statement provided by the Hayward Police Department, a high-speed chase ensued as officers spotted and followed a vehicle implicated in a previous attempted homicide. Their pursuit spanned multiple cities before the suspect eventually crashed and attempted to flee on foot. In what could've escalated into a more dangerous situation, officers successfully apprehended the individual without any reported injuries.
According to the Hayward Police Department, after backup had arrived to assist, the suspect in question chose not to comply and subsequently led police officers on a chase into another city. Upon crashing, the suspect attempted to abandon the scene but was quickly detained by the pursuing authorities.
The vehicle's search resulted in the recovery of an unregistered firearm loaded with an extended magazine. Following the standard procedure, the suspect was medically examined before being taken to jail. The litany of charges includes the original warrant for attempted homicide, a range of weapons violations, and felony evasion.
