According to the official police report by the MPD, the young suspect employed a straightforward yet illegal modus operandi: he would exit a vehicle, confront individuals, and demand their possessions. The encounters ended with the victims complying, and the suspect escaping in the vehicle, which has since been recovered by authorities.
In terms of when these incidents occurred, the police have pinpointed two specific dates: the first robbery took place on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, around 10:50 p.m. on the block of 2700 Calvert Street, NW, followed by the second incident on Sunday, July 28, 2024, close to 9:35 p.m. on the block of 2700 29th Street, NW. In the wake of these events, diligent detective work culminated on Thursday, August 15, with the arrest of the 15-year-old male, who now faces charges of two counts of Robbery (Fear).
