
Two men are on the mend following an early morning shooting incident outside a nightclub in Port St. Lucie. According to WPBF, the victims, aged 25 and 45, were ambushed as they entered their car after leaving the VYBZ Lounge located on Northwest Courtyard Circle. The assailant, driving a dark sedan, fired at the two men and then drove off, fleeing the scene.
In a bid to apprehend the assailant, the Port St. Lucie Police Department has released an image of a man believed to be connected to the shooting. According to CBS12, authorities are searching for a black sedan, operated by an individual with short red hair and beard. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers.
The violent encounter, which Port St. Lucie police say appears to have been a targeted event, led to both victims sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. They were swiftly driven to Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital by the car's driver, who did not suffer injuries during the incident. Both shooting victims were treated and subsequently discharged from the hospital.
Police officers responded to the Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital at 2:10 a.m. on Friday after staff admitted two men with gunshot wounds. In a social media post, Port St. Lucie police stated they found no ongoing threat to the community, stemming from this isolated shooting.
