
A tragic incident occurred this past Saturday at Bunk Pond, where the body of an adult woman was found after an apparent drowning. As reported by 7NEWS, Taunton Fire Chief Steven Lavigne and Police Chief Edward Walsh stated that a multitude of agencies responded to the scene, including Taunton and Raynham Police, firefighters, the North Bristol County Dive Team, the SEMLEC Dive Team, and more.
According to WCVB, the emergency call was made around 4:30 p.m., and dive teams were able to recover and name the woman's body shortly thereafter. The authorities have yet to release the identity of the woman, as officials are likely still in the midst of notifying next of kin and further investigation.
