A tragic incident unfolded in the Roseville/Fleet Ridge neighborhood last Saturday, claiming the life of an elderly cyclist. According to the San Diego Police Department, a collision occurred at approximately 2:38 PM on 3100 Canon St, where a 92-year-old female motorist, driving a 2018 Chevy Volt, turned left onto Evergreen St and struck a 70-year-old male cyclist. The cyclist, who was heading eastbound on 3200 Canon St, impacted the right-side rear door of the vehicle.
The aftermath of the collision saw the cyclist rushed to the hospital, only to sadly be pronounced dead later on. The driver, meanwhile, was reported not to have sustained injuries.
