In an effort to provide necessary medical care for pets without the high cost, Broward County Animal Care is stepping up with free Pet Care Clinics tomorrow and Friday. The goal of these clinics is to make sure pets in Broward County can stay healthy and their owners are not overwhelmed by the soaring costs of veterinary services. They're offering a range of preventative services including rabies vaccinations and microchipping at no charge for local residents.
According to a news release on the Broward County website, "With the rising cost of living, we know that veterinary care can become a financial strain," was what Doug Brightwell, Broward County Animal Care Director communicated. He added, "Our community Pet Care Clinics are designed to bring these important services directly to Broward's neighborhoods, ensuring pets receive the high-quality preventative care they need to stay healthy and happy without the financial burden."
The clinics have been scheduled as follows: tomorrow, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Carver Ranches Library located at 4735 S.W. 18th Street in West Park, and the following day, Friday, September 13, also from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Tyrone Bryant Branch Library situated at 2230 N.W. 21st Avenue in Fort Lauderdale. Services will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, with all services subject to availability, stressing the importance for pet owners to show up early.
