As reported by Local 10 News, the theft happened around 5 p.m. on August 31 at an apartment complex on Hampton Boulevard. Surveillance footage shows the suspect engaging with the owner before abruptly leaving with the owner’s vehicle. The suspect was described as wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt with red letters and black shorts. After the abrupt carjacking, detectives promptly released the video of the incident in a bid to swiftly identify the car thief.
