An incident of aggravated vehicular hijacking in Chicago's Calumet Park neighborhood has led to felony charges against 44-year-old Ronald Wembley. The Chicago Police Department reported that Wembley, of the 12300 block of S. Peoria St., was apprehended and charged with one count of aggravated vehicular hijacking using a firearm. The arrest took place on September 8, 2024, in the 5100 block of S. Wentworth Ave.

California on September 9.
The official account by the Chicago Police Department indicates no additional information is immediately available regarding the case. Public records do not disclose any further details about the circumstances of the hijacking or the well-being of the victim following the incident.
Ronald Wembley remains in custody, pending the outcome of his detention hearing. The case continues to be under investigation, and updates are expected to follow as the legal process unfolds.
