Eighteen-year-old Julian Mayweathers, from the 2500 block of W. Marquette Rd. in Chicago, Illinois, is facing serious charges after his recent arrest. Mayweathers has been charged with one felony count of armed robbery and one felony count of aggravated battery/great bodily harm, as detailed by a Chicago Police Department press release. The young offender is set to appear for a detention hearing at 2600 S. California on September 19, 2024.
The arrest occurred on the evening of September 17, when Mayweathers was apprehended at around 7:53 p.m. in the vicinity of 3000 W. Jackson Blvd. According to the police report, he was identified as the suspect who assaulted and robbed a 47-year-old male victim at gunpoint less than thirty minutes before his capture. The incident took place on the same block where Mayweathers was later found and detained by law enforcement.
