This forecast, obtained by the Hazardous Weather Outlook, suggests that Chicago's clear skies will slowly give way to an increasing chance of showers and thunderstorms, with the highest temperature poised to hit near 84 degrees on Friday before a slight cooldown over the weekend.
This morning, travelers might have to navigate through some areas of dense fog, particularly around the Fox River Valley. The National Weather Service Chicago issued an advisory warning of visibility dropping to a quarter of a mile in low-lying regions and river valleys until around 8 AM. Commuters are urged to be ready for abrupt changes in visibility.
