With the election season hitting its stride, Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Governor Tim Walz is slated to inject some rally fervor into Phoenix next week. The Minnesota Governor is scheduled to spearhead a campaign event in Arizona's capital city on Tuesday, precisely at 5:30 p.m., as ABC 15 reported. While specifics of the event remain under wraps, its anticipation builds atop last month's shared stage with Vice President Kamala Harris at Glendale's Desert Diamond Arena.
Walz's itinerary includes earlier engagements in the southwest and follows Republican JD Vance's Arizona visit, which concluded on September 5. Matching the Republican Vice Presidential candidate's recent presence, as FOX 10 Phoenix noted. Walz's travel plans demonstrate both parties' strategic focus on the region, despite each candidate hailing from the more industrial rust belt. Walz's second descent into Phoenix comes fresh off a Nevada event earlier that same day, organized by the Harris Victory Fund.
As for his travel log, he's expected to arrive at Sky Harbor Airport at around 11 a.m. before taking to the stage for his evening rally.
