
The search for the vehicle involved in a deadly hit-and-run in Escondido has reached a pivotal point with the discovery of the car in question. The Escondido Police Department announced that the gray 1995 Toyota Land Cruiser connected to the September 17 incident was found and will undergo scrutiny for evidence. The morning crash at the intersection of Mission Avenue and Broadway tragically claimed the life of 58-year-old Miguel Leonides Garcia.
Garcia, who was hit by the vehicle as he lawfully crossed the street, was rushed to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. While the car has been located, the driver responsible for the crash has not yet been apprehended. In their ongoing pursuit, authorities are appealing to the public for assistance.
