
A tragic road incident in East Shelby County has left one man dead and two injured. The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office reported the occurrence of a two-vehicle crash on Farm Road, north of Gardener Road, near Shelby Farms, which took place around 2 p.m. yesterday. FOX13 Memphis notes that three men were taken to Regional One Hospital, with two of them in critical condition and a passenger in non-critical condition.
Later, one of the critical victims, a driver, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The Farm Road was subsequently closed to manage the situation and facilitate a thorough investigation by the SCSO traffic investigators, as detailed by WREG. They have urged the public to seek alternative routes via Walnut Grove Road and Mullins Station Road while the road remains inaccessible.
The Memphis Fire Department was responsible for transporting the three men to the hospital following the accident. As of yet, the names of the individuals involved have not been released, and the cause of the crash is currently under investigation. The Sheriff's Office is probing into the particulars of the incident, aiming to uncover the sequence of events leading up to the tragic outcome.
