A former teacher's aide at a private school in Nashville has been charged with multiple counts of sexual offenses involving minors. Justin Henderson, a 33-year-old ex-employee at Genesis Academy, is facing four counts of inducing sexual activity by a minor and three counts of displaying sex acts to a minor, as reported by the Metro Nashville Police Department.
Genesis Academy, which specializes in education for special needs youth, became the center of a troubling investigation after two 16-year-old males disclosed to a school staff member that they had been subjected to inappropriate video calls with Henderson. These incidents allegedly included displays of sexual activity. Following these revelations, Youth Services detectives took the lead on the case, culminating in Henderson's arrest.
Henderson's link to the school and his role as a former teacher aide heightens the severity of the charges, given the trust and responsibility typically placed in educational professionals. In an interview with the authorities, Henderson confessed to his actions involving the teenage victims. This admission corroborates the evidence accumulated during the investigation.
Since his arrest, Henderson has been detained, his freedom priced at $150,000 bond.
