A Fremont family of five is now without a home following a swift-moving fire on Calypso Terrace, which firefighters battled fiercely last Saturday. The Fremont Fire Department responded to the blaze, which broke out near Canal Terrace and Decoto, at approximately 11:06 AM.
The first responders, identified as Engine 58, arrived to find "heavy fire on the left side of the structure exterior with extension to the interior on the first and second floor," The Fremont Fire Department reported. Despite the fierce flames, the fire crews declared the one-alarm house fire under control within 20 minutes of their arrival. Their aggressive exterior attack was credited for keeping the bulk of the fire contained.
The family impacted by the fire, consisting of two adults and three children, has opted to seek refuge with relatives instead of assistance from the Red Cross. In a fortunate turn of events amidst the calamity, no injuries have been reported about the fire. Details about what sparked the destructive flames have yet to be divulged as the cause remains a subject of ongoing investigation.
