Yesterday afternoon, the Fremont community was shaken by the sound of gunfire, resulting in a police investigation into a brutal homicide that occurred on the 40400 block of Grimmer Boulevard. According to the Fremont Police Department, multiple 911 calls reported the incident around 4:40 p.m., prompting an immediate response from law enforcement officers.

Upon arrival, officers found a male victim with significant injuries lying on the sidewalk. The victim was later pronounced dead at the scene. The police have not yet revealed the identity of the deceased, citing the ongoing nature of their inquiry. As detectives and officers work fervently to track down a suspect, they have advised the public to steer clear from the active investigation site, particularly between Fremont Blvd. and Paseo Padre Parkway.
