The Germantown Education Foundation is hosting its "Run for Education" on September 28. While the event champions local education, it also brings temporary road closures along a noteworthy stretch of Wolf River Boulevard. From early morning until early afternoon, motorists will need to navigate alternate routes, according to the announcement for the City of Germantown.
Specifically, the race will close Wolf River Boulevard between Kimbrough Road and Farmington Boulevard starting at 6:15 a.m., with the reopening slated for around 1:30 p.m. According to a release by the City of Germantown, "Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes during the event."
The local police will be present in significant numbers to manage the disruptions. The Germantown Police Department will focus on traffic control, runner safety, and reducing congestion during the Run for Education. They will assist in directing drivers who encounter the closures to appropriate detours.
