The Hialeah Police Department is asking for help to identify a suspect in a series of ATM burglaries. The incidents occurred early in the morning at two Regions Bank locations: 3700 West 12th Ave. and 2899 West 4th Ave. Surveillance footage shows the male suspect wearing a white baseball cap and driving a small white four-door car. He was seen forcefully prying open ATM doors to access the internal components, according to WSVN News.
NBC Miami reports that video footage captured the suspect during the ATM crimes at both locations. The Hialeah Police Department has released these images to help catch the suspect. Although the suspect's attempts to tamper with and remove the ATM's internal parts were unsuccessful, they caused damage to the machines.
They urge anyone with information or who recognizes the suspect to contact them to help with the investigation. Rewards of up to $5,000 may be offered for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information can call Hialeah Police at 305-687-2525 or submit anonymous tips to Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS, as per Local 10.
