The Homestead is switching into holiday for Labor Day. According to an announcement on the city's official website, the Homestead City offices, the Solid Waste Drop Site, and the Cybrarium will not be in service tomorrow, as the nation pays tribute to the contributions of workers.
While some services are paused, residential garbage collection will continue as usual, and the city's parks will be open from the dawn until dusk. However, the trolley and Cybrarium will be closed for the day and will resume operations on Tuesday, September 3.
Remember that although the administrative of Homestead is skipping a beat for 24 hours, the city's green spaces stand by, inviting one and all from sunrise to sunset to revel in the freedom and leisure that is the day's very essence.
On Tuesday, city offices will reopen and all scheduled services returning to their brisk. This brief break is a tribute to the hard work and enduring spirit that define our towns and cities, including Homestead.
