
A fatal shooting has claimed a man's life in the Nutbush area of Memphis, according to local authorities. The Memphis Police Department was called to the 3900 block of Chelsea Avenue shortly after midnight, at around 12:23 a.m. yesterday, following reports of a shooting incident.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officers discovered a male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound. In a statement obtained by WREG, the man was quickly transported to Regional One Health Medical Center. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The identity of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Current details about the suspect or the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear.
