Tragedy struck earlier today in Miami-Dade’s Brownsville area where a devastating house fire claimed the lives of two individuals. The incident transpired around 3 a.m. at an address located on NW 19th Avenue and NW 53rd Street, as reported by NBC Miami. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue were quickly to dispatch to the scene, arriving to a home fully engulfed in flames.
Despite efforts to rescue the occupants, two victims, a man and a woman, ultimately did not survive. They were pulled from the house by first responders and subsequently rushed to Ryder Trauma Center, but, as Local 10 details, they succumbed after suffering cardiac arrest. Another individual involved in the incident was transported to a nearby hospital as a trauma alert, their condition has not been publicly disclosed.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined and investigations are underway. Miami-Dade police affirmed that the blaze has been extinguished after the arrival of fire rescue personnel who encountered the residence entirely in flames. The extent of damage to the property is still being assessed.
