The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) confirmed that 55-year-old Glen Wilson, who was reported missing from DeKalb County, has been found safe. A Silver Alert was initially issued for Wilson after he was last seen last Saturday evening near Old Mill Hill Road in Dowelltown, as reported by WSMV. Wilson was described as suffering from a medical condition that may impair his ability to return home safely without help.

After a day-long search, officials announced Sunday evening that Wilson had been located. According to WKRN, the TBI shared the good news, though no additional details about Wilson's disappearance or the circumstances of his recovery were immediately provided. The initial report described Wilson as 5 feet 6 inches tall and 136 pounds, with green eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing black pants with white stripes and a blue T-shirt featuring a Superman logo.

The successful search concluded when a resident saw Wilson lying in a field barely a quarter mile from his home. Following the discovery, Wilson was taken to a hospital to be checked before he was released to his family. This relief contradicted the fears stirred by the initial Silver Alert and the community's unease about his unknown whereabouts.

Details revealed by Chief Deputy Brian Williams of the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department highlighted the communal effort involved in the search. Williams stated, as per WJLE, "The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department wishes to thank the Smithville-DeKalb County Rescue Squad and the White County Sheriff’s Department K-9 unit for their assistance during the search for Wilson." Initially, the search was concentrated around the Wilson family farm on the Liberty to Dismal Road, where Wilson's cell phone had pinged. It was later discovered that Wilson had not been carrying his phone when he went missing, having left it at the farm earlier.
