A man was left seriously injured after a collision between his motorcycle and a car yesterday evening, such an incident necessitates an airlift to Lawnwood Hospital following what officers with the Port St. Lucie Police Department describe as reckless driving. According to CBS12 News, the crash took place around 7:00 p.m. near Bayshore Tire and Service Center, located at Southwest Bayshore Boulevard and Southwest Holden Terrace.
The initial investigation by the PSLPD points that the motorcyclist was at fault for driving in a manner that could only be described as careless and dangerous and in due course, he rear-ended a car. The WPBF News reports indicated that as of yesterday evening, both directions of the 1800 block of SW Bayshore Boulevard were closed, urging commuters to find alternate routes for their evening travel.
Authorities have yet to release the identities of those involved or the extent of the injuries the motorcyclist sustained, however, the police have informed the public that serious injuries were at play, which indeed suggests a crash of considerable impact.
