A Nashville man with a prior conviction now faces charges of aggravated rape, kidnapping, and assault after a woman accused him of attacking her on his houseboat. The Metro Nashville Police Department reports that Tyree Watson, 42, allegedly strangled and raped the woman after she had been invited to a gathering on his vessel at the Four Corners Marina.

According to the victim's account provided to the police, Watson lured her into the houseboat on the pretext of showing her the bathroom, then locked the door and attacked her. The woman, fearing for her life after Watson threatened to kill her, waited for him to fall asleep before making her escape. She later received assistance from a marina dock worker, WKRN reported.

Watson was arrested early Sunday morning and remains incarcerated, with a bond set at $200,000. His arrest record details charges of aggravated rape, aggravated kidnapping, and aggravated assault.
