On a typical Friday in Oceanside, a Target store at 2255 El Camino Real became the epicenter of a coordinated shoplifting sting, which resulted in the arrest of four individuals. As posted on the Oceanside Police Department's Facebook page, the operation was executed by the department's Investigation Division with the assistance of loss prevention staff.
Around the racks of clothing and shelves stocked with goods, detectives observed and subsequently detained four suspects on shoplifting charges. Among them were Olivia Trillizio, 25, Zachary Felton, 32, and Jerimiah Harper, 34, who hail from Oceanside, securing their citations and a swift release. But the charges were more severe for Michelae Hoff, 33, from Corona. Hoff's detainment at the Vista Detention Facility was for the graver accusation of commercial burglary, and her association with a staggering $90,000 in thefts from various Targets underscored the day's haul.
According to the Oceanside Police Department, the success of the operation seems only the beginning, with a promise of further operations soon. "We plan on doing more of these operations soon, so stay tuned," the post concluded.
