As reported by CBS12, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office (PBSO) has disclosed that the incident, classified as bank jugging and distraction burglary, took place this past Tuesday around the afternoon when a woman had her attention diverted by the duo who subsequently absconded with her credit cards.
These individuals were later identified on surveillance footage endeavoring to exploit the stolen cards for the purchase of a Rolex watch, valued at $18,000, at the Wellington Green Mall, an effort that was thwarted; according to the deputies, the victim was clueless of the theft until an unexpected credit authorization notification appeared on her phone, indicating the fraudulent transaction attempt.
